About Me

I‘ve been making music at the piano for as long as I can remember. Before I could even read, I was drawn to the keys, trying to create something beautiful. That early fascination became a lifelong passion, and for over 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of sharing live music with audiences throughout the Evansville tristate area and beyond.

With over 20 years of professional performance experience—beginning with my first paid gig at age 14—I specialize in bringing elegant live music to restaurants, hotels, weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. My style blends classical technique with jazz, blues, gospel, and contemporary influences, creating a sophisticated atmosphere that adapts to any venue or audience.

Education & Training
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education with a minor in Piano Performance from Oakland City University and a Master of Science in Music Technology from Indiana University Indianapolis. This combination of classical training and modern music technology gives me both the technical foundation and versatility to move seamlessly between genres.

Performance Experience
My performance journey has taken me to remarkable places. I’ve performed with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra at the historic Victory Theater, opened for the Bill Gaither Homecoming concert at the Ford Center, and had the honor of accompanying Broadway actress Shayna Steele and American Idol finalist Sean Cannon.

For the past seven years, I’ve performed nearly every week as part of a contemporary Christian music ensemble, developing an exceptional ability to read audiences, collaborate with other musicians, and create the perfect musical atmosphere. I’ve played over 50 weddings throughout my career and bring that experience to every ceremony and reception.

What Sets Me Apart
What I love most about performing is being part of the experience rather than the center of attention. My approach to music is conversational—I read the room, take requests (even songs I’ve never heard before!), and adapt my playing to fit the moment. Whether I’m providing sophisticated background music for a fine dining restaurant or creating the perfect soundtrack for a wedding ceremony, my goal is always to enhance the experience naturally and intuitively.

I’m known for my reliability, versatility, and unique ability to play by ear. Drawing influences from jazz pianist Beegie Adair and artists like Sting and Billy Joel, I blend precision with emotion, technique with warmth. My repertoire spans jazz standards, classical favorites, contemporary hits, blues, gospel, and everything in between.

Beyond the Piano
When I’m not at the piano, I’m spending time with my wife, daughter, and our three dogs and three cats. I’m an old soul who loves deep conversations over coffee, traveling, and all things Disney and Star Wars. This love of meaningful connection shapes how I approach music—every performance is an opportunity to create something special and authentic.

In addition to performing, I teach piano and help develop the next generation of musicians, sharing the same passion for music that first drew me to the piano as a young child.
